Sad to say, SpaceX’s first attempt at launching their Falcon 1 Rocket didn’t quite work. It blasted off the pad okay, but was destroyed moments later during the first stage burn. Not too surprising, really, given that it was a new rocket. Most new rockets, especially during the early days of the space program, suffered numerous failures. If they keep at it, as they say they will, SpaceX will get it right eventually.
