Meanwhile, the Space Shuttle Atlantis moves toward the launchpad for a December 6 launch which will place the European laboratory module, Columbus, in orbit.  Columbus is the next major piece of the space station.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the crew of the space station will conduct three space walks this month to get ready for Columbus.
