About four of my novels need only a bit of proofreading before they&#8217;ll be ready to go. But I have another handful&#8211;perhaps eight or so&#8211;that will require more work before I&#8217;ll be ready to let them appear in public.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/nettelhorst.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/prometheus03a-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"prometheus03a\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nettelhorst.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/prometheus03a-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/nettelhorst.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/prometheus03a-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/nettelhorst.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/prometheus03a.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>So I&#8217;m nearly done with the proofreading and formatting of my next novel which had the working title, <em>In the Shadow of Prometheus<\/em>, and before that <em>Prometheus Gate<\/em>. Neither of those titles appealed to my first reader and frankly, I&#8217;ve been dissatisfied with both for quite some while myself.  Now I think I have a title that fits the story better: <em>Narrow Gate<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s the book about? <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Alex Hammond invents a way of linking distant places through a sort of doorway making instantaneous transportation possible.  Meanwhile, Steve Cornman leads researchers to a medical breakthrough: immortality. Powerful forces will stop at nothing to destroy both men and their projects.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I expect to release the e-book before the end of this week.
