Listen, my sons, to a father\u2019s instruction;
\n pay attention and gain understanding.
\n I give you sound learning,
\n so do not forsake my teaching.
\n For I too was a son to my father,
\n still tender, and cherished by my mother.
\n Then he taught me, and he said to me,
\n \u201cTake hold of my words with all your heart;
\n keep my commands, and you will live.
\n Get wisdom, get understanding;
\n do not forget my words or turn away from them.
\n Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;

Wisdom is worth acquiring, no matter how difficult, no matter how expensive. It is worth the cost, whatever it is, because the alternative–not gaining wisdom–will destroy you. Wisdom is a protection and a joy.<\/p>\n
