Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me\u2014put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is a warm puppy.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness if finding someone you like at the front door.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is getting together with your friends.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is the hiccups&#8230;after they&#8217;ve gone away.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is a fuzzy sweater.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is finding the little piece with the pink edge and part of the sky and the top of the sailboat.<\/p>\n<p>Happiness is walking in the grass in your bare feet.<\/p>\n<p>I happened to think of the phrase tonight, &#8220;Happiness is a Warm Puppy&#8221;.  It is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Happiness-Warm-Puppy-Deluxe-Edition\/dp\/160433245X\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;qid=1362551040&#038;sr=8-1&#038;keywords=happiness+is+a+warm+puppy\">the title of a little book by Charles Shultz<\/a>, the cartoonist who did Peanuts.  The book is illustrated with the various Peanuts&#8217; characters, Linus, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, and the like, acting out these little phrases, each of which begins, &#8220;Happiness is&#8230;&#8221;  It fits with the thought I had that each day has joy in it, if we only look for it: that in the midst of even the worst things, there are things to be thankful for, or things that can give us pleasure, and usually those things are simple things, like walking in the grass, or eating an ice cream cone, or getting a cup of Starbuck&#8217;s coffee, or watching a bird whistling on a branch.<\/p>\n<p>Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.<br \/>\nMy heart says of you, &#8220;Seek his face!&#8221; Your face, LORD, I will seek.<br \/>\nDo not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper.
