I’m married with three daughters. I live in southern California and I’m the pastor at Quartz Hill Community Church<\/a>. I teach Bible, Theology, and languages such as Hebrew, Aramaic, and Syriac at our small church-based seminary Quartz Hill School of Theology<\/a>. And I write books.<\/p>\n

I spent a couple of summers while I was in college working on a kibbutz in Israel.<\/p>\n

In 2004, I was a volunteer with the Ansari X-Prize at the winning launches of SpaceShipOne.<\/p>\n

I’m a member of the Society of Biblical Literature<\/a>, the American Academy of Religion<\/a>, and The Authors Guild<\/a>.<\/p>\n
